From Inventory to Global Presence is a professional programme delivered by the Saudi Heritage Preservation Society. It comprises five specialized tracks aligned with UNESCO frameworks and programmes, and aims to develop the knowledge and skills of heritage professionals and those interested in the field through Applied workshops that combine knowledge and practice. The programme takes participants from inventory and documentation and readiness assessment to the preparation of nomination dossiers and action plans related to international recognition and engagement. The workshop provides a practical introduction to the Biosphere Reserve model and explores how to balance conservation with sustainable development, research and education, with a focus on spatial zoning, governance and local community participation.
